What is Medical Weight loss?
Medical weight loss is a comprehensive, structured, holistic, multidisciplinary program that helps people lose weight and improve their health under the supervision of a medical professional.
It is based on science and tailored to each person's needs.
It involves lifestyle and dietary changes with the aim of sustainable, safe weight loss and might involve medication.

The Process

1
Comprehensive Assessment:
-
Consultation for a comprehensive history including any chronic health conditions and health concerns
-
Vital metrics and pathology tests will be requested as needed to establish a baseline and determine if any hormonal or other metabolic conditions
-
A body composition analysis will be done to determine your muscle and fat distribution
 -
A complete discussion on your lifestyle and dietary habits to help determine the best way to help you on a holistic manner.

Your Personalised Plan
-
We will review the results from the tests done after the initial consult.

-
A customised weight loss plan will be drawn based on your weight loss goals, history and current health.

-
This is your individualised plan as not every diet will work for everyone, and medication will not always suit everyone based on your history and underlying health conditions.

-
Dietary regimen and lifestyle modifications will be discussed and incorporated into your plan

-
We review and incorporate weight loss medications if indicated and safe for you.

-
Access to a weight loss portal with evidence-based mindfulness techniques, recipes, dietary plans and exercises can be arranged (for a fee) to assist with your weight loss.

-
Please note fees are payable to the health professionals I might refer you to. Please refer to their websites or call for a break down of their fees.

-
Please note that the consultation fee does not include the cost of the Medical Weight Loss medication which is set by pharmacies.
