Lifestyle Medicine is defined as:

“The application of environmental, behavioural, medical and motivational principles to the management (including self-care and self-management) of lifestyle-related health problems in a clinical and/or public health setting” (Egger et al, 2017).  It works in collaboration with conventional and other fields of medicine to improve health.

“Lifestyle as medicine has the potential to prevent up to 80% of chronic disease. No other medicine can match that.” (Dr David Katz )

-A comprehensive assessment of your current lifestyle in all 6 domains -Requests for relevant tests to assess a baseline and your current health -At your second appointment review your will receive comprehensive written plan with simple actionable steps based on your results. - Resources for you to initiate your plan and/or referrals to allied health professionals. - It might take a few consultations to fully establish your lifestyle plan based on the complexity of your needs. - There will be regular reviews with attention to your progress and goals. The aim is to work with you to achieve your goals.
